Crabby Carpinteria

The first half-day of our California trip was spent in Carpinteria. We have spent many summers camping at Carpinteria State Beach with family and friends. We ate at The Palms, where only adults are allowed to eat-- not really. I will always remember The Palms as an adults only restaurant. The younger kids had to stay at the campground and make macaroni and cheese while the adults lived it up, eating crab and steak. The crab was incredible! After dinner we walked around and went to the movies. It is always great to see a movie at night! We saw The Back-up Plan, which is aptly named. I thought Jennifer Lopez was the back-up actress because no one else would play the part. The whole thing was contrived and had moments of forced laughter. Don't misunderstand me, it was entertaining, had some moments of genuine laughter, and the main actor was definitely cute!
